Family owned and operated, Backwards Distilling Company was founded in 2014 in Mills, Wyoming by the Pollock Family. Since then, we have expanded our distillery and opened our downtown Casper Tasting Room.

Absinthe

Our absinthe is a traditional French style absinthe; it is designed around a pre-ban recipe from the 1870’s. It is anise forward utilizing the Holy Trinity of herbs: Grande Wormwood, Green Anise, and Fennel. We carefully source the highest quality botanicals before maceration and distillation on our copper stills. After this, we color the Absinthe to an ethereal green hue by using a secret combination of herbs. This Absinthe is best enjoyed in the traditional French water drip method but also provides a wonderful addition to a number of classic and modern cocktails.
